Apples in a Green Glass Bowl

I found this green glass bowl in a junk shop, and as a container of fruit, or indeed anything, it has its shortcomings…however, the circular ripples in the glass are wonderful as a sort of echo of the circles and curves of other shapes one puts it with. The apples sit as in a whirlpool of light and shade and the inverted trumpets of the lilies seem to be dancing in their wake.
