Duck Eggs on a Tea Towel

These large white duck eggs were given to me by a student who became a friend. I thought they were beautiful and enjoyed exploring the pale and wonderful colours in their pearly shells. An old tea towel provided warmer shades of white and its blue stripes a twisted rope enfolding the whole. A tender detail was the fact that the date had been pencilled carefully on each egg, so I did the same!
