Flowers and Limes on the Garden Table

My viewpoint was important in this painting. Having placed all sorts of potential subjects to paint on the sunny surface of the garden table, I realised that I really wanted to see up through the the cool shade to the sunlit flowers above . They were moving in the light breeze and their shadows were dancing. The limes in their yellow Spanish bowl gave me a quiet focal point of bright colour and stillness.
