Lilac in a favourite Jug

A friend made this beautiful jug and every year I fill it with lilac. This gives me great pleasure to paint, especially because I had finally confirmed to myself that the generous curves of the jug and the blousy bulk of the flower heads with their dancing leaves look really happy in a large square canvas.
