Sprouting Garlic II

Instead of the gently suffused light I had concentrated on in my other painting of this subject, I focused on the immediate context of the subject, and played with the bold shadows which came through the chairs as the light shone through the windows onto the table. I made more of the yellow stripes on the cloth which seemed to be chasing across the table to meet them. I was also able to study the garlic more intensely and found a myriad of colours in the brittle layers of transparent white skin around each bulb.
